Captivating Clematis

Clematis are the most beautiful & rewarding of all the climbing plants that twist their leaf stalks around wires, lattice, rails or stems of other plants without harming them. Their blooms are spectacular, some varieties growing to 8 inches in diameter, and their bloom time can range anywhere from May – to October, Select from among many varieties of plants to grace your porch railings, fences, lattice, arbors, obelisks and trellises, lamp posts & mailbox posts, or use as a ground cover in perennial & annual beds! 'Duchess of Edinburgh' blooms from June to September with very fragrant double flowers of pure white. 'Ernest Markham' blooms from August to October. It is a robust grower that has bright magenta flowers with golden stamens. 'Jackmanii' blooms from June to August. It is an old time favorite dating back to the Civil War. People love its deep purple flowers.
